Parkinson differentiates the figures through contrasting fields of color: Claribel appears in a spare column of luminous orange, while Alonso is enveloped in dense layers of crimson, violet, and black that amplify his burdened authority. Smaller studies of crowns and alternate silhouettes supplied fabricators and seamstresses with practical details for translating Parkinson’s designs from paper to the stage.
