Cardinal Index is a foundational arrangement of curated work by eight artists living within California. The show establishes the gallery's curatorial direction while highlighting material, processes, and themes present within the work on display. Like a chance encounter, this group of eight composes a unique dialogue of poetic abstraction.

The show's title is an assembly of two words. The word Cardinal is defined as being synonymous with pivotal, main, and essential, also in reference to the Cardinal Points of a compass rose. Directional truth. While Index being an indicator, sign, or measure of something. When fused, Cardinal Index becomes an essential measure of work by eight mutli-generational artists to prime the grounds on which the gallery stands.
